Is copper cookware safe for cooking?
Copper and brass cookware is safe for cooking when it is lined with kalai (tin) or stainless steel; each Rivaj product page states its lining. Unlined copper should not be used for cooking.
What is kalai and does it wear off?
Kalai is a thin coating of pure tin on the inside of the vessel. With regular use it wears over time and can be re-applied by a local kalaiwala.
Is delivery free?
Delivery is free across India on orders above ₹999. Orders of ₹999 or less have a flat ₹99 delivery charge.
